18-Year-Old Woman Identified in Fatal Orcutt Accident
Melisa Gonzalez-Bautista, of Santa Maria, fell victim to a rear-end collision Saturday night.
The tragic accident took place on July 2nd in Orcutt, which is in Santa Barbara County.
Bautista was a left rear passenger in a northbound Nissan Sentra.
The Nissan was traveling on Highway 1 when a speeding Honda Civic slammed into the back of it.
Upon impact, the Civic rolled over. The collision occurred around 10:23 p.m.
Sadly, Bautista was killed and the driver of the Nissan, a 19-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries.
It was also reported that the 41-year-old male driver of the Civic was struck by a GMC Yukon after exiting his vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation.
