Elderly Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle
82-year-old Conrad Reynolds was hit and killed by a vehicle on Friday, July 1st.
Reports included that the incident occurred in Rohnert Park on Rohnert Park Expressway.
Reynolds was walking towards the center median when he was hit by an oncoming Ford sedan.
Sadly, the elderly man died at the scene despite life-saving efforts.
The driver of the sedan was fully cooperative with authorities at the scene.
An active investigation remains underway.
According to statistics, there was a 26% increase in pedestrian deaths in California from 2014-2018.
In addition, California’s pedestrian fatality rate is about 25% higher than the national average.
