Man, 41, Struck and Killed on Blackstone Avenue in Fresno

Colin Volpe, 41, died in a pedestrian accident Tuesday night on Blackstone Avenue near Holland Avenue and just north of Ashlan Avenue in Fresno.

Two motorists struck the victim as he walked in the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk, according to ABC 30 News. The deadly crash occurred about 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 8th, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department.

One of the motorists driving a van attempted to avoid hitting the man, but was unable to. She stopped and is cooperating with the investigation. However, a driver in a second vehicle involved fled the scene.

Now police are searching for the second driver in a silver 4-door vehicle.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
