Highway 395 Traffic Collision Results in Death
35-year-old Christopher Dixon was killed in a traffic collision on Sunday evening in Adelanto.
Per reports, the wreck took place at 6:11 p.m. on Highway 395 at Auburn Avenue.
Dixon was stopped at the intersection waiting to make a left-hand turn when he was rear-ended by a Toyota Tundra.
Dixon’s vehicle was pushed into opposing traffic as a result and broadsided by a Dodge Durango.
The impact caused Dixon’s vehicle to roll over, sadly resulting in his death.
No injuries were reported from the driver of the Tundra, David Gillis.
The occupants of the Dodge, however, suffered minor to moderate injuries.
Both directions of the highway were shut down for several hours between El Mirage and Chamberlaine roads.
An active investigation remains underway.
