Christina Walker Hit & Killed by Vehicle in Kern County

Woman Fatally Struck in Oildale 

A female pedestrian was fatally struck on Monday night in Kern County.

The incident occurred in Oildale on June 27th just before 9 p.m. 

Christina Eileen Walker, 50, was walking outside of a marked crosswalk at Chester and Lincoln Avenues at the time of the crash. 

An SUV hit her after slowing down to avoid her. The driver told authorities that she walked directly into iits path. 

Walker sustained major injuries and ended up dying at the scene unfortunately. 

An active investigation is underway.
