Five Hurt in Ventura Crash on Victoria Avenue at Olivas Park Drive

Five people were injured in a two-vehicle collision at a Ventura intersection on Monday night, according to the Ventura police.

The accident took place at about 10:35 p.m. November 21, on Victoria Avenue at Olivas Park Drive.

A vehicle was trying to make a left turn onto Olivas Park Drive from Victoria Avenue against a red traffic signal when it collided with a vehicle traveling south on Victoria Avenue.

Three children aged 1, 5, and 10, were in the southbound vehicle.

The children and two adults in that vehicle were transported to a hospital with moderate to serious injuries.

The sole occupant of the other vehicle was not injured.

Impairment was not suspected to have played a role in the accident.

An investigation into the wreck is ongoing.
