Child on Bicycle Injured After Empire Crash

A crash on I Street near Yosemite Boulevard left a child on a bicycle injured. Reports note the incident happened Wednesday evening at about 6:35 p.m.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck a child on a bike and then fled the scene. Paramedics found the child with moderate injuries as a result.

Medical personnel treated the child at the scene, but did not release any information on the condition of the victim. After some investigation, the CHP found the car involved near The Fruit Yard restaurant in Empire, CA.
