Woman Hit & Killed in San Diego Crash

A woman identified as Cassandra May, 40, fell victim to a deadly pedestrian crash in San Diego last Tuesday.

The accident occurred on June 7th around 8:30 a.m. at Convoy Street and Othello Avenue.

The involved driver, Frank William Shoat, 39, was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

He sped through a red light, causing his car to go airborne and hit Cassandra May as she was crossing the street.

She was taken to the hospital via ambulance where she was sadly pronounced dead a few hours later.

It was later determined that Shoat was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash and was arrested on gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated charges.

An active investigation is underway.
