Two-Vehicle Collision on Interstate 5 at Cannon Road Off-Ramp

At least one person was hurt in a two-vehicle collision that occurred Thursday afternoon in Carlsbad, the California Highway Patrol said.

The incident took place at about 1:18 p.m. on northbound Interstate 5 at the Cannon Road off-ramp.

A red sedan and another car were involved in the accident. The red sedan went off the roadway into a ditch, where it overturned onto its roof. A male occupant got out of the car after the crash.

Firefighters responded to the scene and blocked the off-ramp.

At least one person sustained minor injuries in the accident. It was not clear if the victim was hospitalized.

CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
