1 Injured in Car Accident on Pioneer Boulevard near Slauson Avenue in Whittier

At least one person was injured in a car crash that happened in Whittier on Monday morning.

The accident happened at around 3:04 a.m. on Pioneer Boulevard near Slauson Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Two cars were involved in the collision, but the manner in which the accident happened was not immediately established.

CHP says at least one person was injured in the accident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

More details about the accident was not provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
