Worker Injured In HWY 101 Accident
On Monday afternoon, a multi-vehicle crash on southbound Highway 101 at Lynn Road slowed holiday traffic for some time.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle crashed near the Lynn Road interchange in Newbury Park at about 2:10 p.m. An erratic driver was followed by CHP officers on the southbound freeway since around Central Avenue outside Camarillo. It is indicated by reports that a white Nissan Altima had been swerving in and out of lanes, sometimes crashing into the center divider, sometimes at high speeds, and had continued over the Conejo Grade with a possibly blown front tire.
A Caltrans employee working in the area suffered minor injuries during the incident.
