One Killed in Visalia Crash Involving Caltrans Vehicle

CHP reported a fatal traffic accident in Visalia Tuesday afternoon, resulting in the death of Zada Yaryan.

It was around 3:47 p.m. on June 28th when Yaryan’s vehicle rear-ended a Caltrans vehicle.

The accident occurred on Highway 198 at the Mooney Boulevard on-ramp. 

It is unclear at this time what caused the crash. 

Unfortunately, Yaryan, 79, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

No details were made regarding the Caltrans vehicle and whether or not it was occupied at the time of the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
