One Person Died Following a Two-Vehicle Collision in Guerneville

The fatal accident occurred on October 7th around 11:00 a.m. in front of Korbel Winery. 

According to reports a pickup truck collided with a Sonoma County Transit bus under unclear circumstances. 

As a result of the collision one person was killed, however they have yet to be identified. 

Due to cleanup and investigation, the westbound lane of River Road was shut down. 

In 2020, studies showed that the state of California reported 3,723 motor-vehicle deaths which was an increase from 2019.
