59-Year-Old Man Hit & Killed by Car on Decatur Boulevard

Authorities have identified the man who was killed after being hit by a car in Las Vegas last Saturday.

The incident took place at the intersection of Decatur Boulevard and Hayes Place just before 1 p.m.

It was reported that the driver of a Chevrolet Equinox was stopped at a light while traveling north on Decatur.

Garrett was halfway inside of the marked crosswalk when the traffic light changed to green, and he reportedly fell as he ran across the roadway.

As a result, the Chevy struck the man, causing multiple blunt force trauma.

Garrett was rushed to University Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

The involved driver, a 39-year-old, was also fully cooperative with authorities following the crash.
