19-Year-Old Fatally Struck by Drunk Driver in Irvine 

An impaired driver caused fatal injuries to 19-year-old Boyue Huang last week in Irvine. 

Huang was riding an electric scooter when he was struck by a Hyundai sedan at Barranca Parkway and Red Hill Avenue. 

The incident took place on September 6th at 9:07 p.m. that Tuesday night. 

Huang was rushed to the hospital with major injuries and sadly died 6 days later on September 12th. 

It was discovered that the driver, Rhett Joseph Zerboni, 37, was under the influence at the time of the crash. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI and is being held without bail.
