Big Rig Hits School Bus in Thermal, CA

One person sustained injuries following the collision between a big rig and school bus on Friday morning. 

The collision happened around 6:20 a.m. on Highway 86 at 62nd Avenue on September 24th. 

While it is unclear what led to the crash, the big rig reportedly struck a school bus according to CHP.

As a result of the collision, the school bus was blocking the northbound side of Highway 86. In addition, the big rig was stuck in the sand at the center median area. 

It was also reported that the driver of the big rig sustained minor injuries. 

The school bus, however, did not occupy any passengers.
