Bicyclist Hurt in Rancho Santa Margarita Crash

A bicyclist was struck and injured by a vehicle in Rancho Santa Margarita Friday morning, according to a report by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

The wreck happened in the area of Santa Margarita Parkway and El Paseo at about 11 a.m. November 25.

The bicyclist, a 71-year-old man, collided with a vehicle in the area under unclear circumstances.

The rider was rushed to a hospital with major injuries.

No further details were available. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is conducting an investigation into the accident.
