Deadly Highway 58 Accident near Castle Road 

CHP reported a fatal accident in Barstow on Sunday afternoon, May 22nd. 

It was at about 2:36 p.m. when a big rig and pickup truck hauling a camping trailer collided for unknown reasons.

The accident occurred on Highway 58 near Castle Road.

Sadly, due to the impact, one person died. 

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of kin.

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.
