Coroner ID’s Woman Killed in February Accident

The Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner has ID’d Barbara Hill Leach, 79, as the woman who was killed in a car accident.

The crash took place on Wednesday, February 23rd at the intersection of Howe Avenue and Spanos Court.

Per reports, a Dodge sedan and red sedan collided just after 2 p.m. under unclear circumstances.

Upon impact, the red sedan was sent crashing into a tree off the roadway. 

Sadly, Leach sustained major injuries and died at the scene despite life-saving measures.

It was also reported that one of the involved drivers fled the scene after the wreck.

An active investigation is underway.
