Baby Critically Injured In Crash

Jessica Myers and Frankie Jose Rodriguez, both in their 20s, met a tragic fate after being killed in a head-on collision. Ellie Rodriguez, their infant daughter, was critically injured.

She is being treated at the Valley Children’s Hospital that is locally close down the road from where the accident occurred.

A car swerved suddenly into the lane of Rodriguez’s vehicle and hit their small SUV, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Greg Rodriguez. The Patrol Officer added the Acura sedan was traveling eastbound and the Suzuki SUV was traveling westbound and the Acura for some unknown reason turned into the westbound lane that resulted in the collision.

Alvaro Martinez, a 45-year-old Fresno man has been charged with driving under the influence.
