Pedestrian Killed in Arden-Arcade Crash at Alta Arden and Markston
A crash killed a pedestrian at Alta Arden Expressway and Markston Road in Arden-Arcade
The California Highway Patrol first logged the tragic accident late Monday night. Officers reported the collision at about 10:13 p.m.
The incident happened on December 12 when a green Toyota 4Runner struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in Arden-Arcade.
Man Hit by Car
The car hit him at the intersection of Alta Arden Expressway and Markston Road. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Bell Street.
Medical personnel confirmed that the 40-year-old man died as a result of the collision. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver stopped or stayed at the site following the incident. Officers forced the area of Alta Arden and Markston to shut down after the accident.
The cause of the fatal Arden-Arcade pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
