Girl Fatally Struck by Delivery Van on Estancia 

An Amazon Delivery van struck a 23-month-old girl in a parking lot in Irvine on Tuesday, August 16th.

The incident took place around 3:30 p.m. on Estancia. 

A third-party contractor was operating the van when the accident occurred.

Sadly, the little girl died at the scene. 

Investigators are actively working to piece together all of the details of the accident. 

Tips for after accident procedures:

  • Always stop at the scene 
  • Call 911 if there are any injuries 
  • Get vehicle to safety if it is moveable, if it is not, put on hazards
  • Exchange information with others involved and document everything 
  • Call 911 to report accident – they determine who was at fault
