Aliso Viejo Children Injured In Dana Point Van Crash

Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Tony Bommarito has remarked that five Aliso Viejo school children were hurt when the van they were riding in struck a tree. The driver was not injured and nine children were riding in the van at the time.

Dana Point Police Chief Margie Sheehan said there were no life-threatening injuries. Bommarito said five of the children were listed as “trauma” patients and were taken to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo.

The crash happened just before 3:20 p.m. at Dana Point Harbor Drive and Cove Road in Dana Point.
