Woman Hit & Killed by Vehicle in Bakersfield 

An unidentified woman died after being struck by an impaired driver in Bakersfield Tuesday night. 

The incident took place just before 11 p.m. on June 21st within the 1300 block of Berkshire Road.

The involved driver was under the influence of either drugs or alcohol and fled the scene following impact.

It was reported that the suspect, 21-year-old Alexis Leon, later returned to the scene and was arrested for two felonies and two infractions.
