Man Killed, 2 Injured in Crash on 105 Freeway 

37-year-old Alexis Covarrubias was killed in a two-vehicle collision last Thursday in South Los Angeles. 

The wreck took place just before 3:15 p.m. within the westbound lanes of the 105 Freeway at Central Avenue. 

Per reports, a Kia SUV was being chased by cops for reckless driving. 

After hitting a truck, the Kia then slammed into a red vehicle driven by Covarrubias. 

The driver of the Kia was 14 and the passenger only 15-years-old. Both sustained undisclosed injuries and were handcuffed to gurneys before being taken to the hospital. 

It was also reported that four to seven vehicles ended up being involved in the crash and several were damaged. 

The SUV was also reported stolen last week from Compton. 

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.
