24-Year-Old Woman Dies After Being Hit by Impaired Driver 

Felicia Rodriguez, 31, struck 24-year-old Adriana Verdugo in Victorville on Tuesday morning, resulting in death. 

The incident took place on February 2nd at 2:24 a.m. within the northbound lanes of Mariposa Road. 

According to the Victorville Police Department, Rodriguez was impaired at the time of the crash and fled the scene. 

Sadly, Verdugo was pronounced dead upon the arrival of paramedics and the fire department. 

Although Rodriguez fled the scene, she ended up turning herself in three hours later.

Her vehicle sustained major front end damage and Rodriguez is facing charges including felony hit and run causing death, gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and suspicion of driving under the influence causing death. 

She is currently awaiting court at the High Desert Detention Center. 

The crash remains under investigation.
