Mar Vista Collision Causes Major Injuries to Anne Heche
A fiery traffic collision that occurred Friday, August 5th, left actress Anne Heche in a coma.
Heche was found to be under the influence following the crash and is facing DUI, speeding and/or hit-and-run charges.
The actress was speeding when approaching an intersection and she ran off the road and crashed into a house.
The crash caused a fire and caused major damage to her vehicle.
No injuries were reported from the people in the house.
Heche was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries, including burns, and was acting erratically.
She was in stable condition on Monday; however, she became unconscious and fell into a coma due to a pulmonary injury.
The crash remains under investigation.

- Get vehicle to safety if it is moveable, if it is not, put on hazards
- Exchange information with others involved and document everything
- Call 911 to report accident – they determine who was at fault
