Deadly Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Third Street 

An unidentified 63-year-old man was hit and killed in Koreatown on Friday night, January 28th. 

The incident occurred on Third Street around 10:45 p.m., per reports. 

It was a white Honda that struck the man just east of Hobart Boulevard, and the involved driver fled the scene after impact. 

The man was rushed to a hospital where he sadly ended up dying due to his injuries. His name is being withheld pending notification of kin. 

The city of Los Angeles is offering up to $50,000 in exchange for information that leads to the suspect. 

Witnesses are urged to contact the LAPD West Traffic Division at 213-473-0234. 

According to statistics, 20% of pedestrian fatalities include fleeing drivers. In addition, 68% of those killed in hit-and-run crashes are pedestrians and bicyclists.
