43-Year-Old Delray Beach Man Dies In A Crash

Thomas V. Rankin, a 43-year-old man from Delray Beach, has died in a crash on Interstate 95.

It was revealed by a Florida Highway Patrol report that Rankin was driving a black 2017 Dodge Charger about 3 pm Monday on northbound I-95 approaching Woolbright Road in Boynton Beach. Investigators said the car of Rankin veered off the highway and side swiped along the median’s concrete barrier wall.

The Florida Highway Patrol report stated that a passing motorist noticed the crash as it was approaching a roadway curve and feared the vehicle would hit the curved wall and veer back into traffic. The unidentified motorist pulled in front of the crashed vehicle until it slowed to about 5 mph.
