Long Beach Motorcycle Crash Kills Man on 405 Freeway

A fatal crash involving a motorcycle happened Thursday morning on the southbound 405 Freeway in Long Beach.

David Verweyst, 41, was sadly killed as a result of the crash on October 28th around 4:40 a.m.

Verweyst was reportedly riding a motorcycle southbound when he crashed for reasons unknown.

It is not clear whether or not other vehicles were involved.

Sadly the motorcyclist suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Additionally, four of the southbound lanes were shut down for three hours by authorities.
