2 Injured Following Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 70
Multiple vehicles collided in Yuba County on Tuesday morning, resulting in two people being injured.
The accident took place at 8:18 a.m. on February 1st within the westbound lanes of SR-70.
According to CHP, a small white car, pickup truck, SUV and a fourth vehicle were among those involved.
It is unclear at this time what factored into the collision at Beale Road, however; three of the vehicles sustained major front-end damage as a result.
Both lanes were also blocked by the vehicles which caused a temporary shut down in the roadway.
In addition, two people suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
Tow trucks were also used to remove the damaged vehicles from the scene.
Investigators are actively working to determine liability.
Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.
When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
