4-Vehicle Collision on 110 Freeway

A multi-vehicle collision was reported Thursday morning in Wilmington on the southbound 110 Freeway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash took place around 9:18 a.m. on September 2nd.

The vehicles involved were a Dodge Durango, Nissan Xterra, Hyundai Santa Fe and an unidentified fourth vehicle.

Following the crash the vehicles were blocking the off ramp of Anaheim Street in front of the college.

The number of people involved has not been made known.

All injuries reported were minor, according to authorities, and one person suffered a head injury.

Tow trucks were needed to remove the vehicles from the roadway.

An investigation is underway to determine liability.

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.

When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
