Deadly Two-Vehicle Crash at Cedar and Floral Avenues

CHP reported a fatal traffic accident in Fresno on Sunday, September 18th.

The wreck took place just before 1:47 p.m. at the intersection of Cedar and Floral Avenues.

Two vehicles were involved in the accident, including an SUV and Ford flatbed truck.

According to reports, the SUV failed to stop for the stop sign and crashed with the truck as a result.

Upon impact, both vehicles overturned and became engulfed in flames.

Sadly, three occupants of the SUV died at the scene.

There was also one person who sustained moderate injuries and was hospitalized for treatment.

An active investigation remains underway.

Statistics have shown that approximately 70% of motor-vehicle accidents are a result of stop sign violations. These accidents often happen at an angle rather than head on and about one-third result in some sort of injury.

Although stop signs are in place to prevent accidents, unfortunately not everyone adheres. This is why it is essential to always pay attention and avoid any distractions on the road.

If your injuries are caused by the negligence of a third party you may be entitled to compensation. In the event of a death, families may be entitled to wrongful death benefits.
