Truck and Motorcycle Collide, Killing Motorcyclist
Police are investigating the fatal crash between a motorcyclist and truck on Thursday afternoon in Las Vegas.
The collision occurred at 3:00 p.m. on November 4th at the intersection of Vegas Drive and Peter Buol Drive.
A Dodge Ram 1500 was reportedly heading westbound approaching the intersection when it collided with a Yamaha XSR900.
The motorcyclist was riding southbound on Peter Buol when it hit the front of the truck, per reports.
As a result of the impact, the rider was ejected onto the road.
Emergency personnel transported the rider to University Medical Center where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
The 42-year-old male driver of the Dodge Ram stayed at the scene and was fully cooperative with authorities.
According to statistics, approximately 80% of accidents involving a motorcycle result in injuries or death.
