Fatal Big Sur Collision on Highway 1
A male motorcyclist died in a collision on Monday afternoon in Big Sur, California.
CHP reports included that the fatal crash took place on Highway 1 at 3:17 p.m.
The rider was traveling south before losing control and drifting into the northbound lane.
As a result, he collided with a Honda Clarity, resulting in his death.
Police shut down traffic on the highway for a period of time as crews worked at the scene.
An active investigation remains underway.
