Las Vegas Hit-and-Run Collision Critically Injures Toddler
A Sunday evening hit-and-run crash left a 2-year-old girl critically injured in Las Vegas.
The crash occurred on October 31st just shortly before 8:30 p.m.
According to reports, the toddler was crossing Doolittle Street when a van turning westbound onto the street hit her and fled the scene.
The girl was taken to Sunrise hospital in critical condition, however is expected to be OK.
No other details have been released.
Authorities are actively searching for the driver of the van.
According to statistics, 20% of pedestrian fatalities include fleeing drivers. In addition, 68% of those killed in hit-and-run crashes are pedestrians and bicyclists.
