Rollover Collision on Highway 149

It is suspected that three vehicles were involved in a collision in Butte County on Friday morning, resulting in a rollover.

The accident took place just before 8 a.m. on May 13th within the northbound lanes of Highway 149.

A Ford Explorer collided with a Toyota sedan for unknown reasons. A maroon Honda Civic was also involved in the crash.

Two of the involved vehicles overturned due to the impact and two people suffered injuries, including a broken bone and minor injuries.

First responders arrived at the scene to treat those who were injured.

There were also traffic delays as tow trucks showed up to remove the vehicles from the scene.

An active investigation is underway to determine fault.

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.

When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
