Fatal Pedestrian Crash Leaves Teenager Dead 

Police are actively investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred in Indo Sunday night, May 22nd.

The incident took place at 8:22 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue 48 and Oasis Street. 

A vehicle struck a 13-year-old boy for unknown reasons. Sadly, he died 11 minutes after paramedics arrived. 

The involved driver remained at the scene and was fully cooperative with authorities. 

Neither drugs or alcohol were suspected to have played a role in the accident. 

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.

According to statistics, there was a 26% increase in pedestrian deaths in California from 2014-2018.

In addition, California’s pedestrian fatality rate is about 25% higher than the national average.
