3 Injured, 1 Child Killed in Davis Collision

Three vehicles were involved in a traffic accident on Thursday morning in Davis. 

The crash occurred on December 2nd at 4:00 a.m. on the eastbound side of Interstate 80. 

Sadly, a 1-year-old died as a result. Three other people were also injured upon impact. 

CHP reported that a sedan crashed into the center divider under unclear circumstances. It ended up blocking the roadway leading to a box truck and pickup truck crashing into it. 

The 1-year-old was ejected from the sedan due to the impact and sadly died at the scene. 

In addition, two others in the sedan were hospitalized with major injuries. 

Minor injuries were suffered from the pickup driver. 

Authorities shut down traffic on the roadway for a period of time. 

The crash remains under investigation.

• Always stop at the scene 
• Call 911 if there are any injuries 
• Get vehicle to safety if it is moveable, if it is not, put on hazards
• Exchange information with others involved and document everything 
• Call 911 to report accident – they determine who was at fault
