1 Killed, 4 Injured in Car Accident in Guadalupe

A woman was killed in a collision that left four other people, including an Arizona Department of Public safety trooper, injured on Sunday morning in Guadalupe.

The accident happened at around 12:25 a.m. on Interstate 10, according to a DPS report.

The troopers reportedly responded to a car on fire and found three people standing outside the car. While officers were helping those involved in the crash, a rideshare car driving hit the back of the DPS patrol car, which then hit the off-duty firefighter’s vehicle.

The impact of the collision caused the rideshare car to spin around and strike the trooper and the three people he was helping.

A female passenger in rideshare car was transported to the hospital where she died while receiving treatment.

Four others people, including the trooper, were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

No additional information about the accident was not provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
