1 Injured in Car Accident on 280 Freeway near Highway 84 in Redwood City

At least one person was injured in a car crash that happened in Redwood City on Tuesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on southbound 280 Freeway near Highway 84 at around 5:20 a.m.

The officers who responded to the incident say at least five vehicles were involved in the collision. The report did not mention how the accident happened.

At least one person was injured in the accident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
