1 Hurt in Sylmar Car Accident on 5 Freeway near 210 Freeway

One person was injured following a multi-vehicle crash on Sunday evening in Sylmar, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

The accident occurred around 5:06 p.m. on November 27, on the southbound 5 Freeway, just north of the 210 Freeway.

Per the dispatch, four vehicles crashed for reasons yet to be determined.

Firefighters and medics rushed to the scene to aid one person hurt in the accident. The name of the patient and their current condition were not immediately released.

A SigAlert was issued for approximately one-hour closing lanes 5 and 6 due to the crash. Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the accident scene.

No additional information concerning this crash was provided.

An investigation is underway.
