A MTS bus crash left one person dead in Texas Street in University Heights.
The San Diego Union-Tribune and NBC San Diego reported that the accident happened on Thursday evening around 6:20 p.m. The fatal San Diego crash occurred when a MTS bus and a Chevrolet Malibu collided head-on.
The Metropolitan Transit System bus was traveling south on Texas Street while the Chevrolet was going north. For unknown reasons, the car veered into the southbound lanes. Authorities report that the Chevrolet slammed head-on into the bus.
A 56-year-old female passenger on the MTS bus sustained head contusion. The 60-year-old Malibu driver was rushed to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
